The FFCRA

The FFCRA went into effect on 4/1/20. Under the FFCRA there are employer requirements for businesses under 500 employees. These include paid extended sick pay and extended family leave due to Coronavirus 2019. There is also a required poster employees were supposed to receive before 4/1/20. Do you need help administering teh sick pay and EFMLA? Are you afraid your employees will take advantage of the programs, putting your productivity at risk? What if you can’t pay for these leaves of absence? What documentation do you need to establish.

As a business under 500 employees, you have an obligation to meet your workers needs under the FFCRA. What does that look like? What is your liability? How do you navigate EFMLA and extended sick pay? How do you document it? What about the tax credit? We will help you and guide you through the murky waters of the Coronavirus 2019 pandemic to minimize risk while managing employee relations.

Furlough, Work share, Reduction of Pay, or Termination

So you want to keep employees but there is little work for them to do and you are worried about cash flow since your clients pulled their work. We work with clients just like you who want to keep their employees but due to cash flow issues, business owners have found themselves unable to make payroll while they wait for assistance through the CARES act. To add to the confusion, in order to get the Payroll Protection Plan (PPP) loan forgiveness, employers cannot reduce headcount and have a limited amount they can reduce pay. What are the best options for your company to make sure you qualify for loan forgiveness under the PPP, get the help you need, and take care of your employees while navigating cash flow issues? What is the difference between terminations and furloughs? Is there a benefit to one over the other? Is work share a good option? We can help you answer these questions based on your goals and provide the guidance and paperwork to minimize risk.
